The Class 300 Corrugated Graphite Gasket is constructed with a corrugated 316 stainless steel metal core fully enclosed within a compressible flexible graphite sealing layer. The corrugated geometry distributes bolt load across the wave crests of the metal core, generating effective sealing contact at the gasket faces without requiring excessive bolt torque. The full graphite encapsulation prevents direct metal to flange contact and provides a chemically resistant sealing interface compatible with a broad range of process fluids encountered in oil and gas operations.
Designed for Class 300 flange service, this gasket accommodates higher operating pressures than the Class 150 variant while retaining the same thermal resilience and fire safe construction. The flexible graphite element maintains sealing integrity through repeated thermal cycling, and the gasket has been qualified against API fire test requirements. Prosave Co Incorp manufactures this gasket in a standard thickness of 1/16 inch with 316 stainless steel core, available across the full range of Class 300 flange sizes from 1/2 inch to 24 inches.
