The Kammprofile Gasket to DIN EN 1514-6 combines a precision grooved metal core with a soft material sealing layer, delivering the adaptability of soft material gaskets alongside the mechanical strength and resilience of a solid metal body. The concentric grooves concentrate bolt load into narrow sealing bands, ensuring a reliable and consistent seal even under fluctuating pressure and temperature conditions common in oil and gas process systems.
Prosave Co Incorp manufactures this gasket in four configurations to suit different flange face conditions and service requirements. The ZR type features an integrated centering ring for accurate alignment on smooth and raised face flanges. The LZR type incorporates a loose sheet metal centering ring, recommended for gaseous media or where significant temperature differentials exist between the inner and outer diameter. Both configurations are also available in a convex grooved profile, designated ZR-B and LZR-B, which provides enhanced sealing performance through progressively shallower groove depths toward the centre of the profile.
